Can Paze Wallet takeover Apple Pay & PayPal?
Early Warning Services has unveiled Paze, the name of the bank wallet it hopes will eventually catch on as widely as Zelle, the peer-to-peer service EWS launched five years ago.
Powerful companies have teamed up before to take on the digital payment space and have come up short—and it remains to be seen if Paze will perform better than its predecessors.
In a pilot beginning in June for customers of the seven large banks that own EWS, Paze will pop up within a window on the website of participating merchants at checkout to streamline payments without entering any card numbers.
