OnePlus 12 Global Launch

Following its official debut in China earlier this month, the highly-anticipated OnePlus 12 is set to make its global launch on January 23, with availability in 50 markets, including the US.

This flagship smartphone, released as part of OnePlus' 10th-anniversary celebration, boasts impressive specifications that are sure to capture tech enthusiasts' attention.

The OnePlus 12 stands out with its robust performance features, offering configurations with up to a staggering 24GB of RAM, exceeding many computing devices in the market.

Even the base model is no slouch, equipped with 12GB of RAM, a notable leap compared to competitors like the iPhone 15, which features just 6GB of RAM.

Storage options are equally impressive, reaching up to 1TB, and the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile chipset for seamless performance.

Charging capabilities are noteworthy, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, a feature absent in its predecessor, the OnePlus 11.

The camera system has received an upgrade, featuring a new Sony LYT-808 sensor for the 50-megapixel main camera and a powerful 64-megapixel periscopic telephoto camera.

The device sports a 6.82-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, delivering a vibrant visual experience with its 2K panel manufactured by China's BOE Technology Group.

While maintaining the aesthetic continuity with its predecessor, the OnePlus 12 introduces color-matched camera islands, providing options in glossy white, classic matte black, and a new green variant.

Although pricing details are yet to be disclosed, the Chinese market prices the base model at around $610, with the high-end version featuring 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage at approximately $820.

As part of its 10th-anniversary celebration, OnePlus has unveiled another surprise—the global release of the OnePlus 12R smartphone, extending beyond China and India. While specifics about the 12R are yet to be revealed, the "R" series traditionally represents a slightly underpowered and budget-friendly version of the flagship phone.

The previous model, OnePlus 11R, followed this pattern, sparking anticipation about the features and offerings of the upcoming OnePlus 12R.
