Xbox Series S will be available with 1TB storage in black for $349

Updated: Nov 29, 2023

Gaming enthusiasts, it's time to celebrate! Microsoft has recently announced that the Xbox Series S will be available with 1TB storage in black for $349, and it's all set to hit the stores on September 1st.

This news has got the gaming community hyped up with excitement, and we can't wait to get our hands on this console.

Improved Storage Capacity

One of the biggest advantages of the new Xbox Series S is its improved storage capacity. With 1TB storage, you can store more games, media, and files without worrying about running out of space.

The new Xbox Series S also comes with an SSD, which means faster load times and better performance.

This is a significant upgrade from the previous versions that had only 512GB storage, making the new Xbox Series S a more attractive option for gamers who require more storage space.

Affordable Price

Another feature that makes the Xbox Series S an appealing option is its affordable price. At $349, the new Xbox Series S is a more affordable alternative to the Xbox Series X, which costs $499.

This makes it accessible to a wider range of gamers who are looking for a high-performance console without breaking the bank.

Xbox Game Studios CEO Phil Spencer announced a new Xbox Series S edition today at Summer Game Fest.

The new console variant will provide 1TB of storage (double the previous amount) in a sleek “carbon black” colorway. As the company notes, its September 1st launch means it’s “just in time for Starfield,” the highly anticipated game that arrives on September 6th.

Sleek Black Design

The new Xbox Series S comes in a sleek black design that looks stunning and modern. The console's design is minimalistic, with clean lines and a small form factor that makes it easy to fit into any entertainment center. The black finish gives it a premium look and makes it an excellent addition to any gaming setup.

“This console features the same next-gen speed and performance of our 512GB Series S, now with double the storage so you can download even more of your favorite games to your console where they’ll be ready to play when you are.”

You can pre-order the console later today from Xbox and the Microsoft Store.

Conclusion

The new Xbox Series S with 1TB storage in black for $349 is an excellent option for gamers who are looking for an affordable console with improved storage capacity.

With its sleek black design, faster load times, and better performance, the Xbox Series S is a significant upgrade from its predecessors.

Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore enthusiast, the Xbox Series S is a console that you don't want to miss out on. So, mark your calendars for September 1st and get ready to experience gaming like never before!

The Best Xbox Games for 2023

Xbox is one of the most popular gaming consoles in the world, and as we look ahead to 2023, there are already a number of exciting games set to be released for the platform. From highly anticipated sequels to brand-new IP, there's something for everyone in the world of Xbox gaming.

Halo has been a cornerstone of the Xbox gaming experience since its release in 2001, and Halo Infinite promises to be the biggest and most ambitious entry in the long-running franchise yet. Set to be released in the fall of 2023, players can expect a thrilling campaign that will take them to new and exciting places within the Halo universe.

The multiplayer component of the game is also set to be a major focus, with a new battle pass system and a range of new modes and maps that are sure to keep players engaged for years to come.

The only thing keeping it from greatness is its baffling and disjointed story, but it's not like Xbox fans have many options when it comes to huge exclusives right now.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the kind of game no one but Rockstar, the team behind the GTA series, could make. Only when a studio is this successful can it pour millions of dollars and development hours into a game.

Rockstar's simulation of a crumbling frontier world is enthralling and serves as a perfect backdrop to an uncharacteristically measured story. While the studio's gameplay may not have moved massively forward, the writing and characters of RDR2 will stay with you.

While Rockstar hasn’t deemed fit to properly upgrade Red Dead Redemption 2 for the next-gen yet, Series X owners will at least benefit from the best last-gen (Xbox One X) experience with the addition of improved loading times.

The Series S, on the other hand, gets the One S version, but with an improved 30 fps lock and swifter loading.

Finally, we have Starfield, the first new IP from Bethesda Game Studios in over 25 years. This game promises to be a massive open-world RPG set in space, with players taking on the role of a member of a space-faring civilization as they explore the galaxy, encounter strange new life forms, and engage in epic battles against rival factions.

With Bethesda's trademark attention to detail and immersive storytelling, Starfield is sure to be one of the most exciting and engaging Xbox games of 2023.

We already mentioned this one but it's difficult to overemphasize how good a deal Game Pass is for Xbox owners. For $15 a month, you get access to a shifting and growing library of games.

The company does a good job explaining what games are coming and going in advance, so you won't get caught out by a game disappearing from the subscription service just as you're reaching a final boss.

There are 11 games mentioned in this guide, and seven of them are currently available with Game Pass. The full library is broad, and, while Microsoft's cloud service is still just in beta, you'll have access to many of the games on your tablet, phone, or browser through xCloud at no extra fee.

Bought an Xbox S S. Had the Game Pass for a couple months while I played Forza Horizon, and then got my play out of it and there was really nothing else I wanted to play, so I didn't renew Gamepass. I think whenever there's a game that comes out that I wanna play, I'm just going to buy it outright. I know people love Gamepass, but the value just isn't there for me.

I think the Game Pass highlight is the best right now, so many games that are enjoyable. I am currently playing Twelve Minutes, fascinating game. But of course you forgot AC Odyssey and Origins just got 4K updates and those game run smooth on Series X.
